hobie
This was the second day of my MO hunt 5/01/06.We got up at 4am and we left the house at 4:45am we arrived at the spot about 5:15am and walked out in the feild to where we set up.A bird was gobblin about 100 yards away but across the road there was a few birds tearing it up.The bird closet comes off the roost and we set chase. This was the first time I ever was scared hunting. We went down a rock cliff and it was wet a slippery. We then crossed a creek and see him in a foeld with a hen about 300 yards away going the other way.We dicide to go after the birds across the road that is gobblin good.We get in a little creek that is betweentwo fields and sneak about 400 yards to the birds. We then have to belly crawl about 75 yards.I stay in the back and Shawn was the one who was going to take a shot if it presented.Mike was videoing the hunt we get to the birds and they are 75yards out in the field.% gobblers struttin and two hens.It is about 7:15am and we do some soft calling the bords are struttin and one of the hens get working are way and at 7:55am she brings them to 35 yards.Shawn is on his belly and can not get a good shot at the strutter so takes the one on the right. It goes down. Then Mike and Shawn start doing the fighting purrs and they birds start putting a beatin on the bird that is on the ground.I crawl up the last 10yards over Shawn and shot my bird at 30yards.He goes down.It was all caught on video and will make the cut for Hooks next tape. My bird 21 1/2 pounds 1 1/16 and 1 1/8 spurs 10 inch beard Shawns (Lumpy)bird 20 pounds 1 inch spurs 9 inch beard

Better go let'em put a needle in the rump to stop that poison ivy before it makes it to the boys, i usually have to get that shot every year.
