Chrud
Check out the 2005 Mathews Switchback also. At 33" axle to axle and a 7" brace height, it is a rocket at 318 FPS IBO!
ScottyLuck
Re: Looking to Buy a New Bow I have no experience hunting with the Hoyt but I can say that the Outback is the smoothest bow I've ever shot. I have a Legacy and an Outback. I have shot Mathews, Hoyt and Browning. Mathews are the bows for me, hands down. If you order an Outback get either the Tiger strings are another custome set. Some people useing the Zebra Twist had some creep issues. As for grouping, that's the shooter not the bow. Any of today's bows are capable of consistent groups at most any range. It's just how well you can shoot it. Go shopping and shoot as many bows as you can. You will know which one when you shoot it. Also, like Chrud said, Mathews new Switchback is supposed to be the best bow they've made to date. It has the speed of the LX with the smoothness of the Outback. Hillbilly
Re: Looking to Buy a New Bow Shoot all bows, don't limit yourself to just one or two companies. The best bow I shoot is PSE cause they seem to feel comfortable in my hands, and I feel great on the draw back. The best bow is what feels good in your hands. robk
Re: Looking to Buy a New Bow before you buy any bow shoot it and others to make sure that is the one that will fit you best. i learned quickly that there are some bows that just don't make it for me and i know that it is safer and less costly to shoot until you find one when you pick it up and shoot it you don't want to put it down or it is the one that you keep going back too. todays companies build some of the finest equipment you will ever shoot and for the money spent on each one it is best you know this is the one you can't walk away from rob k
noobi
Re: Looking to Buy a New Bow i bought an outback this year and love it. it's smooth and quiet and worth the cost. it's the best bow for me i found when trying all the other brands. i usuaslly buy a new bow after 2 years but i can see me hanging on to this one for quite awhile. but that's just me, shoot different ones and find the one that works best for you. good luck. Switchback29A1
Re: Looking to Buy a New Bow Seriously check out all of the top bow comp. top of the line bows. Hoyt has a new vipertec that is very nice, the outback and switchback, but also check out bowtech they have a new bow at 317 FPS at 28 7/8 ATX and 8 in Brace Height, or the AR 34, or maybe even a Parker 31. Shoot as many as you can and see what fits you best.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Looking to Buy a New Bow Alot of people here are going to have thier opinions on certain bows...and thats not a bad thing...but the thing is to go out and find what feels good to you, what fits you best...shoot a bunch of different bows and after that if you have it norrowed down to more than one, come in and ask who in here has shot each of those bows and what there input is...but the main thing is that its your money and you have to feel comfortable and happy with your purchase
