dogdoc
Re: What is the best stuff to use... I have found that just about anything I plant for deer will also attract turkeys. When I do my spring planting I always include a little millet and milo to provide lots of seeds for the birds. The deer also like to nibble on the seed heads. Oats are another good grain to plant. The deer love the green forage and once the oats mature the turkeys will rip the seed heads right off--plus oats are very cheap. Less than 10 bucks for a 50# bag. Turkeys also love clover. However--what you are currently planting will do fine for both. todd
wtnhunt
Re: What is the best stuff to use... I plant primarily for the deer. The turkeys also hit my clover plots, but for some reason not so much in the spring.
BamaTrophyHunter
Re: What is the best stuff to use... oats are reall good to plant because deer eat them and when they mature the turkeys eat them. dove and quail also eat the oats after they mature
