Turkeygirl Posted May 14, 2006 Report Share Posted May 14, 2006 Well, I'm really really really tired as I write this and will try to go to bed soon to try to hunt turkeys in the morning, but I just thought I'd share with you all that I have "officially" graduated from Houghton College with a B.S. in Outdoor Recreation. Of course I still have to do my internship this summer which I start in a few weeks, but good enough I didn't get to bed until midnight last night, got up at 7am. My mom, sister and I drive over to campus, got there before 9, they got seats and I stood around until 9:30am where I met the rest of my fellow rec. students where we lined up with everyone else outside the chapel, for a procession around the quad then into the chapel. I won't go into detail because I am dead tired, but it was a blast and I thank the Lord the 4 years he blessed me with at this college; there are so many good memories, and despite some of the annoying times, it was a blast. No, I did not trip and fall on the stage and hurt myself or anything; I think that is worthy of an award,lol So we got home around noon, had shrimp and mussels and watched a movie, lol. I would have been getting a newish shotgun for a graduation present, but that didn't work out for certain reasons, so I didn't really get anything big deal, but I'd got my mom and sister, good memories, and the Lord on my side. My mom and sister did bake me a cake and we had lobster for dinner,lol They did get like 3 photos so I'll try to post them soon so you all can see me out of camo Ok, it's almost 10 and I'm still not in bed so I'm going to try to get there. Have a good night everyone and for those of you in college, enjoy each minute of it because when it ends, then you realize how much you'll miss it. I should have stayed in school 10 years ago, you did the right thing getting it done and over with. There's nothing like having to balance a full time job and full time school.
