Re: wood ticks[pic]

Ticks aren't always bad news.

Where there are lots of ticks and chiggers. There are usually piles of some kind of animal they are feeding on. Could be a deer hotspot wink.gif

Clothing treated with Permanone really really helps. So does duct taping your pant cuffs to your boots.

They are ATROCIOUS up my way, Kevin. I have done picked 2 that were stuck to me off, and a couple off my legs the other day while walkin. My dog is a freakin TICK MAGNET, the first collar he had SUCKED, and I can't put FRONTLINE on him cause I can't kepp him outta the water!!

Re: wood ticks[pic]

Been using no stinkin bugs on my boots and at least the top to my bugsuit every time I been out turkey hunting.

That is a lot of ticks Bret. As bad as the flies and skeeters already are here this year and the really mild winter we had, figured on the ticks being bad, but have not had one on me that I know of yet this spring.

Re: wood ticks[pic]

Here is the best advise I can give you guys. If you NEVER want another tick on you just call me up when you are heading to the woods and have me walk along with you. I'am a TICK MAGNET!!! There could be 10 guys walk the same path as me and never get one but as soon as I walk the path I'm covered. I pulled 7 off of me the other day and then got home and found one on the inner part of my thigh and it was the real real real small one. Like the size of a pin head. I'm thinking about wearing a frontline collar myself. crazy.gif
