Guest Broncho10
Here is an email I just received, felt I should share it with you all: Dear Fellow American, This 4th of July, while you and your family celebrate the 230th Anniversary of the founding of our great nation, there's one party you won't be invited to... ...And that's the party that Kofi Annan is throwing at United Nations headquarters in New York -- using your tax dollars -- for nearly fifty dictatorships, six terrorist states, governments that endorse execution based on religious faith, and a multitude of other nations from around the globe. You see, this party isn't to honor your freedoms -- but to conspire to take them away. Over our July 4th holiday, on American soil, they are preparing to enact a legally-binding treaty that would give the U.N. unchallengeable power to ban civilian ownership of ALL firearms. That means your rifles, your shotguns and your handguns. AND YOUR FREEDOM! To learn what you can do to stop the U.N.'s global gun ban treaty-before it destroys our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms visit www.stopungunban.org. Just as a handful of patriots fired the "shot heard 'round the world" at Concord Bridge, it's up to you and me and every patriot who cherishes our Bill of Rights to tell the world today that our nation will not be bullied by the U.N. Thank you for acting today. Wayne LaPierre Executive Vice President National Rifle Association of America

LifeNRA
Re: Take a Look Letters printed and signed! They are on their way! You dont have to be a NRA member to send this to these people! Copy and paste the following, then print them out! The Honorable Kofi Annan Secretary-General of the United Nations United Nations Headquarters First Avenue at 46th Street New York, New York 10017 Dear Mr. Secretary-General: The 4th of July is America’s most revered national holiday. Yet, you have nevertheless chosen that day to meet at the U.N., on American soil, in your drive to ban civilian firearm ownership worldwide. In doing so, you have placed the U.N. squarely on the side of freedom’s enemies. Americans like me have over 230 years of experience in defeating the anti-freedom aims of petty tyrants and powerful dictators alike. And the American people will never let you take away the rights that our 4th of July holiday represents. Our freedoms are not to blame for the world’s problems, and this is a battle you can never win. Sincerely, ______________________________ Ambassador Prasad Kariyawasam Representative of the Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka to the United Nations 630 Third Avenue, 20th Floor New York, New York 10017 Dear Ambassador Kariyawasam: The 4th of July is America’s most revered national holiday. Yet, you have nevertheless chosen that day to meet at the U.N., on American soil, in your drive to ban civilian firearm ownership worldwide. As Chairman of this upcoming gun-ban conference, you should know Americans like me have over 230 years of experience in defeating the anti-freedom aims of petty tyrants and powerful dictators alike. And the American people will never let you take away the rights that our 4th of July holiday represents. Our freedoms are not to blame for the world’s problems, and this is a battle you can never win. Sincerely, ______________________________ The Honorable John Bolton U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations 799 United Nations Plaza New York, New York 10017 Dear Ambassador Bolton: I am outraged by the U.N.’s plan to hold their worldwide gun-ban conference on American soil on the 4th of July, our most revered national holiday. I urge you to use every means at your disposal to ensure the defeat of this treaty, and make sure that not one single dollar of American tax money is used by the U.N. to advance this global gun-control scheme. I’m sick and tired of watching the U.N. attack our freedoms while ignoring slavery, genocide and mass murder in other countries. Please fight back against this threat and tell the U.N. that our freedoms are not to blame for the world’s problems. Thank you very much. Sincerely, ______________________________
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Take a Look Yep, the UN has long been an advocate of eliminating all civilian ownership of firearms. Of course, I find it difficult to take anything that "august body" does with any seriousness when their Human Rights Council includes Saudi Arabia, China, and Cuba??? OJR
Re: Take a Look They need to shove the whole thing in the East River!! Get rid of it and most of the world troubles would disappear! All the UN is is a bottomless pit for money to be squandered!!
