AJ
Re: bolt polishing Do you mean polish the bolt like the jewled versions or make the bolt operate smoother?

LifeNRA
Re: bolt polishing The bolt on my Browning is smooth enough. It pulls back very easy! I guess I am trying to understand, why would you polish it other than to make it look fancy. All the bolts I ever pulled back on all the rifles went back easy? paul23
Re: bolt polishing I'm asking because I own a Win. Model 70 and its not smooth at all. Very bumpy feeling and my freind has a remington and it's nothing like mine. His is very easy and smooth feeling when operating the bolt. AJ
Re: bolt polishing The bolts operation will become smoother with more use. There are tools to allow the user to polish the receiver ways. Here is one from Brownells.
