About 1 1/2 months ago my sister asked me if i wanted a camper a friend of hers wanted to get rid of.He was up front with me, told me the roof leaked, there was some rot, and it was just an old pickup camper they had mounted on a trailer. Then he told me the price, and it was right. He just wanted someone to haul it out of his lawn grin.gif

We love camping but with little Joseph and the older two kids in a tent its been a pain.So I decided to take it and see if i could fix it up, nothing else the trailer underneath it is worth some $$ so Im not out anything. The top bed, where the camper would ordinarily sit on top of the truck cab was rotted out, and that was the biggest problem.I solved it by framing a floor up underneath it, then building a box that would also serve as a storage compartment to hold everything up.Then I got a bucket of Snow coat thats generally used for repairing flat roofs and started applying it over the existing roof.2 coats and the leaking stopped. Then I moved to the inside where the mice had decided to spend the winter, cleaned it all out, left all the windows and door open for a couple weeks, removed all the old mattresses and cushions and let them air out, then went over it all with every cleaning agent known to man grin.gifBought some pots, pans, and misc.. at garage sales, a 10$ coffee pot, and this weekend were gonna give it a trial run.Wish me luck, were gonna need it grin.gifwink.gif
