Jeramie Posted May 17, 2006 Report Share Posted May 17, 2006 Anyone make/ eat home made ice-cream? We actually eat quite a bit of it. I can remember, as a kid, a lot of the Churches around here still had Ice-cream socials. There would be machines all over with countless different flavors. Those were good times. My father in law still makes several flavors pretty often, especially during the summer. We have Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Butter-Finger, etc. Its great stuff. At the parades and such, the Amish often make home-made vanilla covered in peaches and or strawberries. Its next to impossible to beat. I personally have a little cheap'o maker. I really want a White Mountain. They are by far the best but hard to come by and pretty expensive when you do find them. Anyone else mix it up?
