Guest PAWhitetailhunter19
Well i finally got the time to do the "moutlrie fix" that i have heard so much about... My cam got decent range, but i always want some more. I believe it has increase my range. It has definatley decrease the tigger speed at farther distances. Walking from the bathroom in my house across the hall way it catches me and that is about 20 ft. I think that is relativley competitive. Also for the alien eyes i have used photo flash filters and taped them across the flash... I have only used primary red as the deer and other animals cannot see this color and are not bothered by the flash. The red however signficantly decreased the range of my flash so im going to try a nuetral density filter to elimate the eye glow plus give me a bit more range.. I have the links to everything you need to make these changes if anyone wants them... I dont know how many people on this site have got a moutlrie. Guest PAWhitetailhunter19
Re: Moultrie Fix Here is the website for the flash filters. there are a couple different places on the web you can buy these but these were the cheapest with shipping and everything... Im sure you can buy these at a photo shop if you know where on is around you. I got the variety pack and have used red, but im trying the ND one now. like i said before ill let you guys know which one works the best...Photo Filters This is the instuctions i followed for the sensitivity issue. Its really easy a simple matter of working some screws and cutting a lense. I tested my fix out in the woods today and i gained a good 7-10 feet atleast... there are trees in the way past that so i dont know how far but its far enough for me.Sensitivity fix Here is the link to the new lense you will need to buy... its 2.50, the shipping is like 4.00. lense At this site just go to camera building accessories and than to lenses and it is the first one on the list. if anyone has any ? feel free to PM me.. Good luck
