Newarcher
Hey,....some of y'all post on Edersbow.com and may know about this story. GregE is a moderator....aka babysitter and a class act guy. His wife has cancer and is putting up a good fight....seems like it has been years she has been fighting. They will get rid of the spots with chemo and then new spots will pop up. Anyway, lately she has been having trouble keeping food down...not sure if it is from the treatments or what. Anyway, he emailed me and told me that he found her this morning at 2 AM sitting on the floor beside the bed and she couldn't speak or get up. I think she might be severely dehydrated from not keeping anything down. He was caling an ambulance and that is the last I know. If you are a praying person, please do. Her name is Linda. Thanks, New

Guest GregE
Re: Prayers for a fellow archer and his wife Thanks Michael Linda's blood sugar level was critically high (609) and coupled with the dehydration and lack of nutrition she was in desperate straights. The ER doctors started a saline IV and after getting lab tests to confirm things started on insulin drip. She started getting talkitive and ate 1/2 of a Arby's BLT about 1 so we knew we were on the right track. She was released at 2 PM. She came home and took a nap and now is eating a small portion- that's a good sign. We know the value of prayer and are so thankfull to all of you. Newarcher
Re: Prayers for a fellow archer and his wife Thanks guys....I have an update. She is currently taking Chemo and I believe she has diabetes that was a result of the treatments....if I remember that right. Her blood sugar lever was 609 which is coma level. They got her to the hospital and shot up with insulin and she came home that next day. She seems to be doing much better. Thanks for the support. Guest GregE
Re: Prayers for a fellow archer and his wife 126 this AM and she's able to get around much better and talk normally. Remember the symptoms- dehyration and resulting chemical inbalance sneaks up on ya. I got into a situation hunting elk 8 years ago that was earily similar. My buddy got me through it. Guest GregE
Re: Prayers for a fellow archer and his wife Thank you all. Many asked about Linda at church today and were suprised when I said they could talk to her directly. She has suprised us many times over the years getting through 5 different cancer episodes and while we are nowhere through this she will continue to be a strong witness. Her struggles have been an inspiration to many. I've kept an on-line journal ( several editions) over the years. the current one started last fall is at the link. If someone may benefit from our journey- please share it with them. Guest GregE
Update on Linda Monday we met with her primary physician. He dropped several of her (numerous) medications that were redundant or interfering with others. He also clarified her insulin dosage. She is doing so much better now that the fog of body chemical inbalance is much reduced- she's starting to give me a bad time again. We had to defer her chemo this week as it was stressing her system so- but hope to get back to kicking those nasty tumors again soon!! If you haven't encouraged your loved ones to get checked reguarly, please do so. Each of Linda's cancer episodes were caught early .... don't wait, and don't forget yourself.
