Re: Knee injury

the popping is from the swelling moving arround in your knee. i just has my acl replaced in march. its not the end of the world, but you have to do exactly what the doctors tell you. i tried to go mushroom hunting too early and boy i tell you my foot swelled up like a balloon. but you'll be ok. especially since yours happened at work. good luck and get a good injury attorney. smile.gif

Re: Knee injury

After several operations on my knees, the last one in Mar. of this year, I agree that the popping is the cartilage. If you tore the ACL, take it easy and put ice on it to keep the swelling down.

I would suggest you get ahold of an orthpedic surgeon ASAP and get an MRI done. Don't hobble around on it because in the long run, it is going to make it that much worse in therapy after surgery!

Good luck!

Re: Knee injury

Could be a meniscal tear from your description but I could be wrong, the meniscus being the cartilage inbetween your knee joint. A tear in that can cause your knee to lock. Really sorry to hear about your injury. Take it easy, ice it 20 minutes, take ice off for an hour and so on, and take ibuprofen. Let us know what you find out and take it easy!
