dkohio
i'm looking at buying new camo for early bow season. I was wandering what camo you all use for 30 - 60 degree weather.
Tominator
Re: What hunting camo do you use for early season? VTbowman
Re: What hunting camo do you use for early season? Predator Camos Spring Green is good for tree stand and ground hunting in early October. I bought a set for turkey hunting this spring and its awesome! I switch to thier Fall Grey pattern once the leaves start to thin out up in the trees at stand hieghts...

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: What hunting camo do you use for early season? In the early season I have a Realtree Hardwoods Green leafy suit with a Scentblocker underlayment. When it gets cooler then I have a Scent Blocker outfit. For spring turkeys I use the leafy suit and just put what feels comfortable underneath as temps change alot here in Michigan!
rifleman25
Re: What hunting camo do you use for early season? I use Kings Mountain or Desert shadow for almost everything. Mossy oak has a new brush camo out that looks good. Advantage max 1 need to use less blue or a slightly different tone of it. It really doesn't match the sage brush I hunt in as well as the others. I guess maybe I'm in the minority but western big game camo other than kings or ASAT is tough to come by. I'm glad to see mossy oak and realtree finally trying to put products into our market though. I just wish it hadn't taken them so long to remember we were out here.

LifeNRA
Re: What hunting camo do you use for early season? [ QUOTE ] for early bow season. [/ QUOTE ] Hardwoods Green, once the leaves drop then regular Hardwoods. But I have some MO new break up as well. But I think its too dark. Only thing I have for colder weather is the MO. When that wears out It will be all Hardwoods.

But you're right, King's Desert Shadow is probably the best for "out west".

I have overalls in Advantage Timber. I also have a long sleeve shirt (t-shirt) that I wear under it. Our season is OCT 1st and I have to wear that pretty much the first month. Otherwise I burn down. After it gets cool I have a full outfit that is a little to large. That allows me to layer my clothing.....

Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: What hunting camo do you use for early season? Realtree Hardwoods 20-200 bibs with sneaky leaf. Where I hunt in northern PA and southern NY, I guess Ct as well with my brother, I like the 20-200 with the 3D affect of the SL. Especially the green. GWSmith, what color of SL do you use? I pin mine on with the pins provided but that Fireline does sound like a good idea. I'm sure I have lost leaves somewhere because of safety pins failing. Thanks for the suggestion. GWSmith
Re: What hunting camo do you use for early season? Sneaky Leaf Fall Blend... I found no need to put any on the inside of my arms or on the right side of my face mask...Especially shooting a bow! I did try it at first but found noise and occassional restriction of my sight picture when drawing the bow. I hunt from treestands alot more than any other method so I did not put any leaves on the front of my pants thighs...I'm sitting down mostly so I figured it would be a waste...not to mention more chance for noise when your arms move from that resting position. Good Luck this next season!
