ruttinbuc
I have been training on days at work and have not had but a couple of days to use for turkey hunting. Got this guy this morning. He is pretty strutted out. Only 15 lbs, 10 inch beard and 7/8 inch spurs. I went to a spot where i had success in the past made a few yelps and he showed up. very quietly I might add. I almost didn't see him. Sorry, I couldn't help contribute to a team score. Didn't get in on time.

maytom
Re: Got one! WTG!!! That birds weight reminds me of birds I took close to the end of the season here in NY. What really matters is the "hardware" they are carrying with them!!

ruttinbuc
Re: Got one! Thanks everyone! The little time I did have in the woods this spring was priceless. I am going to PA Saturday morning to explore an area that is fairly close to home. There are turkeys there and hardly anyone hunts it. Hunting for now, but scouting for the future when I'll have the time. HuntnMa. That would be one busy rooster if he has polts in Florida! Back in the day when I was on the road with the band I lost a few pounds and probably have a few....well, never mind!
