Dixie Chicks

Listening to the radio here got me to thinkin. The Dixie Chicks are coming out with a new CD. Anyone here plan on going out and buying it? Do you even listen to them anymore? Would you go see them in concert?

I for one WILL NOT support them in anyway. Yes, we have Freedom of Speech, but I am so sick and tired of people such as them, George Clooney, Johnny Depp to name a few, of using there position to bad mouth the president. What they did was wrong IMO, and even heard this morning that SUPPOSEDLY they have rescinded their apology. Gotta find more on that

Re: Dixie Chicks

I will always listen to their old stuff. I was a HUGE fan til they decided to turn "Hollywood".

No, I will never buy another one of their cd's.

The big mouth that made that statement said she has no regrets! LMBO!!! She must like the taste of her feet! blush.giftongue.gif

Exactly. But that's all she can say. She'd never come out and say she wishes she hadn't ran her yap. wink.gif

NOPE I also change the station when they come on.

Exactly what I do. I used to like their music, but after the dust settled, you get a chance to see a person for who they really are. The lead singer loves to hear herself talk, that is for sure. The other two really have to hate her for opening her snout like she did, she cost them all a ton of $$$.

These women are insane and just totally wrecked their career. Now they are dissing Reba

Dixie Chicks slam Bush again

From asap

NEW YORK — The Dixie Chicks are criticizing President Bush again, not to mention your average country music fan.

Natalie Maines, who once said she was ashamed to be from the same state as Bush, slammed the president in this week's Time magazine.

I don't feel he is owed any respect whatsoever," she said.

Martie Maguire, meanwhile, took a not-so-subtle shot at Top 40 country fans.

"I'd rather have a small following of really cool people who get it, who will grow with us as we grow and are fans for life, than people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith," Maguire said. "We don't want those kinds of fans. They limit what you can do."

Re: Dixie Chicks

Have seen their new video on CMT. Actually saw it about a month or so ago when it first came out, not that I wanted to, the premiere just happened to come on while my wife was watching the top 20 countdown. Think it is a slap in the face to the American people.

No, I wont be buying any of their music. Hope they go on and fade away for good this time around!

Re: Dixie Chicks

Bad part is that one of those women is married to Pat Green...............a great Texas musician. Wonder how long the marriage will last. I almost bet that some PR person told them that Bad press is better than no press so they are just out running thier mouth.

Re: Dixie Chicks

I'm glad the Dixie Chicks don't want to be in my 5-disc CD changer with Reba and Toby...because they're not...they're not even in my 100-disc CD changer for that matter. I guess the Chicks don't figure that Reba and Toby have dedicated fans like they do...now that's a good one. I had their first CD and even saw them in concert several years ago but that all changed when they opened their mouths. I broke the CD into several pieces and vowed to never see them in concert again.

The only reason they're stirring things up again is because their new album is coming out. They have to bash someone to get in the spotlight because their notoriety for good music is no longer doing it for them. JMO.

While their talent is not in question here, I am definitely not a fan of green either.
