When I first saw his audition, I thought, man how old is this guy! He's younger than me!! Guy does like to move around the stage though. bozz Posted May 25, 2006 Report Share Posted May 25, 2006 Re: American Idol I loved Taylor Hicks....he's very good and deserve it......he blew everbody away.......it was hot when he came out playing the Harmonica.....from day one....I knew he had something special going on and his fan base grew fast.....America loved him....yeah I like Chris too.....wish he or E. would have been in the finals......Kat was just too weak....but Mr. Hicks was just to good and talented....good show ! Taylor is a better showman, and he's tough to beat when it comes to blues or R&B. First time I saw him he reminded me of Joe Cocker, and as the show progressed he showed some liknesses to Ray Charles too. Real bluesy, I like that. Having said all that, I still think Chris was the best of all of them. Too bad the rockers just don't support that show enough. I didn't recognize that band he performed with last night, but I dare say, Chris carried that dude. That was a funny show last night. He looks like someones pop!! That show is alot about image as that is easy to sell to an audience, he just needs to maybe die the hair some to attract a younger audience. Out of that 216 million, about 142 million people were registered to vote...approximately 126 million actually voted. According to American Idol, there were approximately 63.4 million votes cast in the finale which isn't even close to 126 million that were cast in the 2004 Presidential election. If President Bush only got half the 126 million votes, he would have still gotten as many votes as the complete total of American Idol. Plus you can vote multiple times for American Idol.
