Re: Good Luck PA Rifle Hunters

I was out bear hunting today and stumbled on a bedded 8 pointer (see cam pics. in photo room). Since I knew where he was and which way the wind was blowing, I backed out of there without spooking him. I circled the hill and came right on top of him. I was within 20 yards of a nice 8pt. who was looking the other direction and wind in my face. That prob. won't happen on Mon. smirk.gif

Re: Good Luck PA Rifle Hunters

Good luck to you all. This will be the first year in a long time I am not going to the mountains. I have seen 4 legit P&Y deer where I hunt in Allegheny County, one of which is a MONSTER, with a bone white rack, very easy to tell it's him. I saw him once at the beginning of archery season and the darkness saved him. On the last day of archery I actually hit him, but not good enough. He was broadside, but just as I released he turned slightly away from me and my arrow must have slid under & around everything vital. I saw him spotting a few days later chasing does, so he is fine. Normally first day of deer is about friends & family at the cabin, but this year, the WHITE GHOST has made it personal.
