Guest Andrea
Re: Bowfishing. (pics) That's AWESOME!!!! That looks like so much fun. Never seen it done like that down here. Most people have a tower on their boat that they shoot from. Thanks for sharing the video too. ( LOL........yeah, you did run kinda girly-like) Those waders weren't meant for running though, right?? LMBO.

[/ QUOTE ] Right it definitly was not easy lol. after i hit the fish it took off on a run and i had to go fetch my arrow. he made it a good 150 yards before i had to shoot him again and get my arrows back lol
Tominator
Re: Bowfishing. (pics) You know, if you put a spool on the front of your bow, you wouldn't have to go running like a girl. j/k That's a blast isn't it? We used to do that up on Kelleys Island all the time. Loads of fun. Always shot them with a fiberglas arrow tied off to some double braided nylon though. Makes retrieval much easier.

LifeNRA
Re: Bowfishing. (pics) Always wanted to do that. But I think I need to get another bow for it though. I thought about getting a family bow and use that for bowfishing. What do you do with the carp then? Crayfish bait?

[/ QUOTE ] that was the first time that i ever went. we just took them to a buddy who uses them as fertilizer. I just used my hunting bow and some old arrows. It was a lot more challenging with the recurve. When we were walking around we seen a bunch of dead fish just laying there so some people just leave them lay for the sea gulls, turtles. crayfish and other animals. LifeNRA
Re: Bowfishing. (pics) Now that you mentioned it, I have an old recurve laying around here somewhere! Hmmmmmmmmmm, I just might have to see if my father still has his old reel for his! I could just get a fiberglass fishing arrow and go out! The carp are starting to hit the banks here in PA. Thanks!!!
