Guest CuttNRun
Im goin on a week long rifle hunt to Neosho County KS round the end of Nov. Just wondering what kind of terrain to expect, deer numbers, B&C chances. Just tryin to get an overall feel for the place. Ive hunted Northern MO, and West Ill. but this dosent sound anything like those areas! Thanks

Guest CuttNRun
Re: Im hunting SE Kansas this yr., what can i expect? No tag yet, but if need be, the landowner can get us some transferrable tags.

ksdeerhunter03
Re: Im hunting SE Kansas this yr., what can i expe You can expect a lot of things. #1, are you self hunting or hunting with a guide. Public or private? The Neosho river holds some big deer, you have to know where though. Send me an email, [email protected], I will answer more questions if you have them. Tim Andrus
Re: Im hunting SE Kansas this yr., what can i expect? Hey cuttin run, I hunt in Neosho and Labette county. Its got some nice areas . Like brad said if your on the Neosho river you can find some big bucks. Are you you doing on your own? Ive hunted the last 3 yrs there and havent pulled the trigger, my choice. Saw a bunch of deer . And my buddy killed a 148 inch 8pt on hte river as well. Tim
SE_KSBowhunter
Re: Im hunting SE Kansas this yr., what can i expect? The river bottom ground is excellent along the Neosho. There is a good mixture of cropland with scattered timber. Where/with who do you guys hunt? Our ground is a few miles straight south of St. Paul, KS. Tim Andrus
Re: Im hunting SE Kansas this yr., what can i expect? Some over over at south mound, Frank and louis Giefer land. Didnt hunt it last year , my buddy did. Pretty close huh! I was going to look at a piece in Erie , but from where I stay( south of Dennis ) is a haul. tim
ruttinbuc
Re: Im hunting SE Kansas this yr., what can i expect? The Neosho runs a long way. I bow hunted in Coffey county around Le Roy and saw some nice bucks. Nothing very outstanding, but it does not mean they are not there.
