Missed160
I have decided to put a fall away rest on, and am looking for input on whick one to go with. The owner of the local Archery shop recommended a Trophy Taker. IT costs about $80 installed. I am just curious to find out what everyone else uses.. Thanks Reed
ultratec1
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations I use a trophy taker for hunting, 3-D and spots. I highly recommend them.
kooter
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations i am trying the new hoyt/nap smart rest. so far it seems to be ok, but have only had it since saturday and haven't got to run a bunch of arrows through it. But you can't go wrong with the trophy taker.
hutchies
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations I would say one of these 2. I shoot the TT Shakey Hunter Drop away and love it. Here are the only 2 I would recommend. Jennings archery came out with a drop away this year that I really like. I will see if I can find a pic. Guest WisLongbow
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations I was looking at the Quality Archery Designs drop-away Lock Down... I think this would be a great hunting/treestand rest, especially the way it locks the arrow on the rest... anyone tested this one out? tedicast
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations I have shot with a TT, and in my opinion the Vital Bow Gear line of drop away rests is superior. I am shooting with a 2 year old VBG Ultimate FallAway...Great rest!
MCH
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations This rest was installed on my target bow when I purchased it. Didn't expect much from it, but it has really impressed me. Quiet, simple and cheap. Runs about 50 bucks. Golden Key Futura TKO
Guest DaveGP
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations The TKO is an awesome rest for the money... i have nothing but great things to say about it! i have one on my bow and the guy that owns the local archery shop sells them out all the time! dave

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations NAP 4000 drop away (have a Montana Black Gold Trap door also) that is my back-up I keep in my archery accessories box. That thing works great too! Once you go drop away you won't go back to anything esle IMHO!

Guest Finn
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations I really like my Trophy Taker shakey. When I'm using a guy to set up my bow and ask what he recommends, I usually go with his choice to start. Lets him know I value his opinion. He's not leading you down a bad path with the Trophy Taker. hutchies
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations If you don't want to shell out the money for the TT check into the TT SL model. Works just like the original TT except this one is $49. Looks like this:
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations more often than not, you can find "used" drop aways over at Archerytalk.com for some really great deals. $100.00 rests in mint condition for about half the price of new if not lower. So maybe look there, great deals to be had!
hutchies
Re: Drop Away rest recommendations Speaking of that I just saw a TT on there a little while ago for $40. I'll see if I can find it again.
