Bond
Tractor was pulling to the left for a while. Went out to check for a flat tire and... Pulled it out a little so you can tell what it is - It's pretty thick and you can see how long and sharp that brow tine is. I bet it would be a nice shed if it wasn't all busted up. Here's what I was driving and yes those tires are as tough as they look. I was amazed that an antler could poke through. I would think that I would run over it and the shed would break, not the tire. sureshot
Re: What are the odds? (pictures) shed antlers keep the tire companies going up here, my fatherinlaw spent over 3 grand oen spring alone for tractor tires after sheds blew them, had 4 flats, 2 were repaairable and 2 were shot! I also drove over one with my truck and blew a tire a few years ago! pretty common!!

Bond
Re: What are the odds? (pictures) Wow, I didn't know that was so common. This is the first I've ever heard of it happening. Slughunter, Yes, tractor tires are very expensive. Way too expensive to go around driving over sheds. I'm not sure how much this one cost because we didn't have to replace it. All they had to do was patch it, which wasn't that costly. F250, that's our 600 cow freestall barn.
slughunter
Re: What are the odds? (pictures) yea, a patch would save a lot of money compared to buying a new tire.
Shaun_300
Re: What are the odds? (pictures) Congrats on the shed, but sorry to hear about the tire on the tractor! I'd defiently be getting it patched, it'd cost a bundle for a tire for one of those things!
Tominator
Re: What are the odds? (pictures) I have friends and students who have done that. It's not all that uncommon, just unlucky.

Guest whitetailarcher
Re: What are the odds? (pictures) Oh yeah, I've had many farmers tell me I could shed hunt as long as I try and take some from the fields too.
