DU_man_84 Posted May 31, 2006 Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 just got home tonight from my bros wedding in vegas and also my first time in vegas, ill tell ya right now 7 days in vegas was way to long, i coulda done it in 3 or 4 tops, it was okay, rather be taken my vacation up in the northwoods at a cabin fishing, but had to go to the wedding, the wedding went good, so did my best man speech, got a few drinks in me and just wung it and it went good, vegas just to many people for me, went to one show it was the mystere cirque du soleil at the treasure island, really didnt want to go but it was actually an alright show, amazing of some of the things that them people did, if ya go to vegas i would recommend that show if your gonna go to one, took out 400 bucks just for gamblin and only came back only 95 bucks in the hole so not bad for 7 days of gambling, mostly played blackjack, most of the money lost at the slots, but you cant go to vegas planning on winning, but overall not a bad trip but i prolly wont go back for quite some time this trip to vegas was enough to keep me away for a while Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It was a nice place to experience once but I probably will never go back. I'm with you...I'll choose the cabin in the woods for a week over a week in Vegas anytime. Guest outdoorgirl Posted May 31, 2006 Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 Re: back from vegas Vegas is a small town not very big....I went last month and to tell you the truth i didn't think much of it.....I used to live about a 40 minute drive from Atlantic City.....They have fixed up AC really nice with the boardwalk and ocean....they have bars on the beach in front of the casinos where you can drink and look out into the ocean.....very nice......but don't get lost and drive into the hood at night......yikes !! But all in all I thought Vegas was to crowded and i also didn't win at the slots.....Glad you had a good time.....and your correct .....give me a cabin in the woods anytime....lol......congrats on your brother getting hitched !! Stopped in vegas on the way back, last time I have been out there. Were going to spend the night there, but ended up getting back on the road. My sister-in-law is graduating from high school and we are going out to visit. I have never been and to be honest the only thing I am really looking forward to is the "dam tour" at Hoover dam.
