VTbowman
I am planning on getting a set of these since I started hunting with Encore pistols. Anyone who has shot high powered pistols can tell you. You only shoot them once without hearing protection. LOL I am interested in thier hearing enhancements naturally but my main concern is the protection. I could just use stand protection but I really dont want to fiddle-fart around with trying to put regular hearing protection on or ear plugs in before the shot. At $200+ I wanna make sure they will work well for hunting not just hearing protection. Anyone have real world out in the field experiences with these? Rain, wind, snow, cold, etc...??? Thanks! starbux
Re: Walker Quad Power Muffs????? They worked pretty good for me during turkey season and at the skeet range. They really tame down the 3.5" turkey loads. My only complaint is they pick up the strong wind noises.....but my ears do too without them! VTbowman
Re: Walker Quad Power Muffs????? I would think any sort of hear enhancement would get that wind sound magnified too. This I can live with since it can be somewhat tuned out. On windy days its a hard hunt no matter what your using.
VTbowman
Re: Walker Quad Power Muffs????? Well I was lucky enough to win a set on Ebay for well under the cost they sell at the more popular catolog stores.. Even after the guys shipping was included. I even got the RT camo version which I was not gonna to buy since that alone bumps the cost another $30 or so. LOL I will post my field reports as they happen. Just wish I would of had these during turkey season.
