Gator
I am looking for a .22 Revolver, prefreably a fairly cheap one, as it's main use will be shooting snakes with rat shot. What is a good brand to look for?
Guest Xen
Re: Need a .22 Revolver my first choice would be the S&W 317 Air Lite (8 round capacity), next would be the S&W 617 (6 or 10 round and can get 4" or 6" barrels). you could go with a Taurus, they look a lot like the S&W but are a bit less expensive - the 94 is like the S&W 317 but has a 9 round cylinder, and the 970 Tracker looks like the S&W 617 and has a 7 round cylinder. i've also heard a lot of good things about the Ruger Bearcat... but i think it's ugly looking

Gator
Re: Need a .22 Revolver No need to apologize red, that is a good question. I would think anything with the S&W label will carry a nice little price tag
Guest Colorado Bob
Re: Need a .22 Revolver I would get a Ruger single action, the one where you change the cylinder out to 22 Mag or 22 Long Rifle. They are fun to shoot & accurate. I'm not sure what the price is but one in Heritage Arms is @ $180. I'm sure the Ruger is about the same. TexasDeerHunter
Re: Need a .22 Revolver I have a Ruger single six and would recommend checking one out. A good used one will run about $ 175.
Guest lilcrackshot
Re: Need a .22 Revolver Heritage Arms Roughriders are good guns and run around $150 at Cabela's with a 22 LR and a 22 Mag cylinder. 6 1/2" barrel I think.
