Canadian_Goose
If i have my .300 win mag ported or fitted with a muzzle brake, will I have to sight it in again (asuming the guy at the shop doesnt rough it up)?
OJR
Re: Porting I would just to make sure that nothing changed! It would be one heck of a note if you got out on a hunt and missed because of some change!
AJ
Re: Porting Yes. Anytime you do something to the gun it should be checked on paper before hunting. You should be shooting it year round to stay proficient with it anyhow.
Canadian_Goose
Re: Porting i would probably cycle a few boxes through it first anyways but I was wondering if I would have to bring er back to 25 yards and go shot for shot. AJ
Re: Porting Since the gunsmith will remove the scope or have you do it before he gets it the gun will definately need to be zeroed again. If you can do it at 100 yards, or 25 yards, its up to you. I usually do it at 100 yards but thats just me. I can typically get them on a 2'x2' paper just by eyeballing the bore vs the reticle.
