drkillemquick
Re: Soccer Not as good as hockey! England has a good chance at winning, maybe even Italy, don't care though because SCOTLAND yet again didn't make it! Don't like watching the games, but if you can be in an area where they take it seriuosly, it can be alot of fun!
arrow32
Re: Soccer Im not in one of those area's. Love to watch the games tho and play em. As long as Brazil dont win it which the way it looks now i think they have a great shot at doing so.

jgbennett6
Re: Soccer No you dont my friend....I will talk soccer all day with you, played for 3 years in college as a winger left my senior year to play semi-pro.......then dislocated my knee....love the game, its one of the few that you dont need PADS to play!!!............that being said, Germany i think looks good, but Brazil is a beast, Ronaldino is amazing, however i think the USA will actually make it a few rounds this year.... drkillemquick
Re: Soccer The US. will only go as far as Landon Donovan takes them. The amazing thing about sports is that you can never expect some of the upsets, and the US team is poised to make some. I think the last time Canada made the world cup was in the 80's so you guys are doing alot bettter than us.

jgbennett6
Re: Soccer Honestly cannot stand Landon Donovan....I do think he is one of the most over rated players out there.. plenty of other hard working great players in the US that dont get enough attention. NYBUCK
Re: Soccer jgbemmett - That is preety cool. I played not to far from you, Herkimer Community college, then one semester at Brockport and one at Cortland. Played midfield and some defense. Will say one thing, those who knock this sport either never played it or can't. I was in the best shape of my life when I played college ball. I will also add that it is a tough game to watch on TV but if you ever get to see real World Cup style action in person you will change your mind about the game. Its fast, precise and full of hard hitting action.
jgbennett6
Re: Soccer exactly NYbuck where are you from, i may have played you at one time.... HCCC i remember had one of the best junior college records goin, great team, and cortland was pretty darn good too... Equilizer,...Brazil is a great team, but look what happened at teh last world cup, its kind of liek teh yankees the last few years, too much great talent on one team
NYBUCK
Re: Soccer I grew up in a small town called Poland. Ever heard of it. LOL. We played summer ball out of Herkimer in the Midstate League. HCCC is one of the best JUCO soccer programs in the nation. I think they have 6 or 7 national championships.
