bwlacy
I have a 300 H & H and the only factory ammo I can find anymore is Winchester 180 Failsafes, and Federal Premium 180 Nosler Partitions. My question is which bullet performs better on deer. I currently only hunt Whitetail, may make it out west for elk some day. Will the failsafes expand on thin skinned game? I have no experience with either of these bullets. Thanks Matt
JimT
Re: Failsafe or Partition Partition for sure.....That guns a little much for deer huh...lol...
AJ
Re: Failsafe or Partition I would stick with the Partition bullets. They will still open up like a normal spire point bullet up front so you will get the best performance on deer sized game.
bwlacy
Re: Failsafe or Partition Thanks everybody. Now I just hope that the partitions will shoot out of my gun. I used to shoot core lokts, but they don't make them anymore. I guess I can hand load if it comes down to that. Mostly this gun is a keep sake. I've been hunting with my 30.06 mostly the last few years. I just like to keep it ready to hunt with. Matt
