Not counting baby shampoo, with the wife and my two older daughters all having long hair and my minimal usage we go through quite a bit of shampoo. I cut my son's hair and it was easier than I ever anticipated. Turned out beautifully. I then had my wife cut my hair and it too turned out great. I prefer to have to sides and back clippered on about a 1/2 guard and the top at about a 2 guard. But since this was my wife's first time cutting hair, I let her do the sides on a 2 and top on a 4 so that I could go get it fixed if she messed it up. She did great. So that clipper set was free and I already saved about $35 on haircuts. I usually go every 3-4 weeks so that clipper set should save me about $250 a year and my son about $150 per year. Plus, I can keep mine shaved and looking neat as often as I like. If you don't already do it youself, the clipper sets like I have are around $25-$35. My 15 lb. brain bucket is way to big and round to go with a buzz cut. You're also right about the finding a new place to hunt thing too.
