Tominator
Well, I start my 2nd Masters program today. My first one didn't work out for various reasons, but this one is totally on line and 1/2 the cost of my 1st one. I have no illusions of being a smarter or prestigious, I just want the pay raise. Anyway, Tom will have to bear the brunt of all my new-found intelligence when we go hunting come fall. So look forward to only aboooooot 10,000 posts this summer from me instead of my usual 20,000 summertime clip. I'll try to make the most of those 10K. Wish me luck! RangerClay
Re: Masters Program Must be they don't require a masters degree in Ohio. You cannot teach without one here in New York. Good luck! Ranger

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Masters Program Good luck with the online program, why didn't you want to sit in a classroom? You make your students sit through lectures, sitting for 2 to 3 hours would do you some good! LMAO!! Good luck Chris, nothing beats furthering your education! [/ QUOTE ] Oh, I'd love to sit in a classroom. I chose this method for a couple reasons. Most importantly is convenience and $$$$$$$. I don't have to schedule time away from home this way, and it only costs $10,000. QDMA--I agree, unfunded mandate on already underpaid teachers. New teachers now have to get them within 5 years, I got grandfathered in.

Like you we think it will be a lot of work, but the financial payoff will be worth it.
