Went out for an early morning walk today. There was a tom on the hilltop back the lane just-a gittin it!!! So......naturally............I had to take a mouth call and walk back there. Had him coming unglued!! shocked.gif He was in a field about 100 yards straight up over a steep hill above me. I'm not able to get up that hill, just yet. But I will be soon and I'll be taking the camcorder with me. wink.gif

Its amazing what happens when they quit hearing 20 different people trying to call to them a day. I think that kinda turns them off cause they know somethings up lol. Anyways yeah thats a bummer that they are showing up now, but atleast you know theres some good birds for ya next year. Hope you get up that hill and get some good footage

Great to hear your up and about Don! I bet you came a bit unglued as well after sitting this season out.

It was a little hard to take at first. But there were issues that needed attention if there were going to be any more turkey seasons for me.......ever. So I decided to sit this one out. wink.gif

Still at it in PA. Took an early morning drive around the Strut10 Ranch and caught a monster gobbler out in a field doin' his thang for a hen. I was 450 - 500 yards when I first saw him. I thought he was a bear!!! Had me completely fooled. He was puffed out so big he completely hid the hen standing behind him 'til she spied my Jeep and ran.
