AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Horse riding Nice looking horse Kooter, you daughter looks to be in charge and doing well. My wife owns horses and rode all her life, she was in 4H and I didn't know how good she was until I went to a horse show when we first starting dating. My little girls will someday learn to ride as well. Wife has all the gear! As for dad, its not for me, got the butt blisters to prove it!! LOL!! My wife is into Western pleasure and English, she did some jumping too.

kooter
Re: Horse riding she is going to be 5 in August. She has caught on pretty quickly, I think this is her 5th lesson and they have her trotting and posting and a bunch of other stuff. She really has a ball when she is there. she also likes to brush them when she is done.

kooter
Re: Horse riding my other daughter Ava is starting to show a lot of interest also. But she is only 2 so she has to wait. She did get to go around the ring with us all holding on to her. I wish I could have taken a picture of her smile. It was almost actually ear to ear!!!!! [/ QUOTE ] My little one was the same way Kooter when the wife took her around the pasture on her horse, she thought that was the greatest thing in the world to sit up on that horse and go around the pasture! Only thing that changed that smile was having to make her get off the horse and take a break!

Jeramie
Re: Horse riding That is a wonderful thing to get her into. It goes to show that horses know when there is a child on their back. That gelding is just as gentle as a kitten. [ QUOTE ] Cool. I've never been on a horse. [/ QUOTE ] If you ever decide to come to Oklahoma, ill change that for you. They are wonderful animals. kooter
Re: Horse riding we are wanting to move into the country and she told us that if we move she wants a horse. So now we have to find a house with enough land and a barn to get a horse. The place where she takes lessons offers birthday parties so we are going to have hers there. They offer all the kids that go to the party free rides and stuff. should be fun.

BamaTrophyHunter
Re: Horse riding she is hooked for life now I love ridin and ride every weekend with a bunch of friends. i think everyone should have the chance to start ridin and if they don't like it aint like they wasted much. I watched a huntin show today and they were elk huntin with horses and the man was talkin bad about the horses and sayin people shouldn't go to places huntin were you have to ride horses, well if he disliked the horses that much why didn't he get his @$# off the horse and carry all his stuff. the next day i bet he would be wanting a horse to ride
Dakota
Re: Horse riding Horse riding is fun. My aunts own several nice mounts and are into country riding. I've learned to ride on their horses and even got into a little barrel racing, though my cousins can ride circles round me! Dakota
