VermontHunter
Last summer I planted 6 Hybrid Concord gape vines,, luckly I only lost one over the winter... .. Now that they are established and flurishing,,, is there anything I can do to help them grow to thier potential ?? Right now they are about 3ft. tall, from the bare root I started them at... My soil here is mostly windsor Lock Sand, with about 16" of topsoil... As you might of guessed it's a well drainning soil.... Any suggestions, or tips would be greatly appreciated... I have already invested in a bird net...
dogdoc
Re: Any Vine tenders here.... not a viner but good luck. I wonder if you could spray them with the liquid Miracle Grow--I bet that would give them a nice boost.
VermontHunter
Re: Any Vine tenders here.... I didn't dare to Todd,, I couldn't find it on any of the plant lists they have.... But I honestly can't believe it would hurt them..... I may just try some on one plant and see what happens....
wtnhunt
Re: Any Vine tenders here.... Nope, not a viner either, but would make sure if you give it the miracle grow to make sure you keep the plant well watered. Hot as it gets here the miracle grow this time of year will burn most plants up in a hurry if they dont get enough water.
Tominator
Re: Any Vine tenders here.... I don't like grapes well enough to grow them. I found this site. http://www.essentialgardenguide.com/garden-fruits/32/Grapes/ I was looking for some info on care for them, because I seem to remember they can be tempermental when it comes to fungal diseases like black spot.
