ParrotHead
Ok, so every once in a while – when I think I can stomach it. I move the dial settings on the radio past Boortz and past Hannity and even past Rush to listen in on the ramblings of the left as they try to panhandle their pathetic propaganda. This morning was one such morning. I’m sorry, I can’t remember the exact show or it’s name and I would have, I don’t think I would be giving it out to anyone. So what topic did I hear this morning? Education! The left when they’ve run out of things to talk about will always fall back on education. This is simple, American students are nearing the middle of the education totem pole these days at best so there’s great cause to bring this back to the forefront. Anyway, we’ve got our host – Mr. Professor of something from the university of somewhere hosting the show and he’s taking calls from the listening audience and I’m just amazed at the excuses that are coming out of the mouths of these liberals. Caller one: I failed in school because I didn’t have a “support group”. Yup, some of the left are now supporting the “support group” cause for our children. Isn’t that special? Hey, here’s an idea. Make the parents responsible for being the “support group”. Have them get off their lazy behinds and stop treating school as a daycare outlet. Hey, when I got a little behind in my class work and brought home a failing grade my father and his belt were all the support group I needed to back on track. Then again, there are keywords in my ranting that don’t fall under the left’s funk and wagnel – words like “responsible” Caller two: I agree with caller one. Yeah, one left coming up with an idea is more than a lot of the left can handle. Caller three: I failed because I was bored. The school systems need to incorporate more exciting things and classes to keep kids interested. I finally went to college in my 30’s and found it very interesting and got my degree. These are the ramblings from someone that probably wet his bed through his 20’s. Lets examine this idiots take on things. “I failed because I was bored” Ok, the only thing I agree with here is “bored” but I’m thinking more on the lines of “your father or mother should have hit you over the head with a board”. Again, excuses from the left for being lazy and not getting the handout they think they deserve. Oh yes, this clown was all over the fact that the school system should have advanced him to make his days more of a challenge. My guess is it’s a challenge for this guy to remember his way home at night. “I finally got my degree in my 30’s” I.E. My parents finally wised up and kicked my sorry **** through the field goal of life. People – this is the type of lunacy we’ll see again if the left weasel and lie their way back into power. This is fact IS the lunacy we’re seeing now from some outlets like the Supreme Courts who ruled just yesterday that a convict can appeal his way of execution because it hurt too much – and we’re referring to lethal injection, not the chair!!! [/ QUOTE ] OH, and don't forget.."She's too pretty to go to prison"...or..."He's too short to go to prison" Now it's.."I was too lazy back then, so it's not my fault, because someone should have seen that and helped me through it" ..LOL good read. Canadian_Goose
Re: The lunacy of the left I don't think it's a bad idea to critize the way schools function. It's well understood that people learn in diffrent ways and if we can make a system that makes learning easier, why not? Perhaps we could learn faster and more effiecently. I agree "because I was bored is not a suffieient answer". But I know what it feels lioke to sit in a classroom of people and discuss issues that are almost insulting to you. just my .
johnf
Re: The lunacy of the left The left has an excuse for all kinds of stupidity. Some kids are lazy, some have bad attitudes, some have drug problems, parents beat and otherwize abuse thier kids, some just don't care, some would rather be doing anything else. Some kids just aren't good in school and never will be. Someone had to be the trashman, chicken catcher or janitor. Someone has to drain septic tanks or clean up barf at a retirment home or at the preschool. Not everyone needs to go to college and high school is beyond the limits of a few. There is no shame in any of those jobs as long as you do them well and take pride in your work.

[/ QUOTE ] I often wonder how they make it to work in the mornings without their support group there to give them directions every day.
