What kind a mole trap are you using. I think you might have told me but i cant remember.

I use a victor mole trap. Has a little foot looking trip lever with a heavy spring with spikes, that come down over the tunnel when the foot gets tripped.

I need a couple more of them.

Any idea where we could get em. We cant find anything exept for poison you put on the ground and dont know if that will hurt the dog or not.

Re: Sniping in the Grass

Wal mart and lowes both sell them here. Think rural king also sells them. They work ok, if you get them set right.

Putting down granular can help cut down on the mole crickets and grubs if you have a small enough yard to be able to afford to put it out regularly. So long as you follow the instructions it is safe for the dog. I use both permethrin based granulars and diazinon. Tried bifenthin from ortho and the stuff is junk. Most granulars have to be watered in. I always put it out here just before a rain.

Have never tried any of the poison mole baits, dont think it would be safe with a dog that is curious or likes to dig, which in my experience is most of them.
