Power Muffs-So far I am impressed!

I got my Walker Quad Power Muffs the other day and set about to test them.

I must say I could hear a fly fart at 100 yards wth these things. shocked.gifcrazy.gifsmirk.gifgrin.gif

LOL

Seriously I could hear the slightest sounds with them and could not what-so-ever with them off.

I mean I could clearly hear my neighbors talking to each other at well over 300 yards away while they were working in there garden...!!! shocked.giflaugh.gifcool.gif

I still need to test the hearing protection circuitry.

It seems weird to discharge a gun with the enhanced hearing not muffled hearing. crazy.gif LOL

I foresee a flinch for my 1st shot so I better get that out of the way now.. crazy.gifsmirk.gifgrin.gif

Oh and it is possible to shoot a bow with these one. For me anyways.

I shoot a recurve with fingers and the muffs were not in the way at all.

No idea for a release shooter... (???)

These things do work. I've been shooting with them many times at indoor and outdoor ranges. I was able to hear the guy beside me talking without a problem and nothing a little pop when I unloaded my gun. grin.gif

Not sure about shooting a bow with them though.

Good to know they do surpress the loud noise.

I need to try mine out soon...

I think they may not work for a release shooter depending on where the anchor point is.

Mine was placing my main index finger knuckle in the small depression between my jaw bone and ear lob.

That would not work with the muffs on...

I now anchor my index finger tip to the corner of my mouth as a finger shooter and the muffs are not a factor...

Don't worry about the flinch.....

The circuitry instantly shuts down the amplification as soon as the noise level reaches 80db. Put them on and clap your hands.....it's loud enough to shut them off. Or have someone yell at you.

I've been a range officer/firearms instructor for years; and as my years caught up with me I noticed I was having more and more trouble hearing the range commands with regular muffs.

A friend of mine turned me on to the electronic muffs years ago. When I put them on ....it was like someone turned on the world. I could hear traffic from the local highway several miles away.

The really nice thing about them is you can hear EVERYTHING.....so when I have a student at the other end of the range saying.... "That guy don't know jack-****...." You can hear him and respond with...."Oh; is that so?" lol..... It tends to really keep the kids on their toes!

I have said before....I've been wearing them for hunting in the stand for the last several years. I can hear deer coming in from hundreds of yards.

Otherwise.... I'm the guy who turns around and there they stand. Me; I the one saying

"Well; busted again". lol Be Good! "Bo" ... tongue.gif

It does take some getting use to when hunting. The first time I used them it was raining and I was in a creeky ladder stand. grin.gif Then when I pulled out my sunflower seeds and started to snack a little, to me it sounded like I was lighting off firecrackers or something! grin.gifgrin.gif

They do work great though!!! cool.gif
