Jeramie Posted June 20, 2006 Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 I pulled in the drive here at the office just after 6:00. I saw this crow putting a woopin on a dove. I saw something in the crows mouth so I assumed he just took the food away from the dove. The dove made it about 5' from the crow and suddenly the crow attacked again. It had a mouthful of dove feathers. It held the dove down and started hammering the thing with its beak! Ive seen crows eat roadkill but ive never seen one kill another animal, let alone a bird. After I got out of the car I looked back and sure enough, he was eating it. I hate crows but I guess that is nature. I was real tempted to run him off before he killed the dove but again..... It is what it is. The dove couldnt fly so it likely wouldnt have made it anyway. Sort of odd...... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm actually considering an air gun for the chipmunks around my house but wouldn't hesitate to take out a few crows here and there either.
