birddog Posted June 20, 2006 Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 Hey all, anyone know of anyone who guides hog hunts, or would have an opening for a 2 or 3 guys to come down and arrow a pig or two on video? A couple of buddies and I were talking that we would like to drive South from MN, and try to find a place where we could hunt hogs for a couple of days at a reasonable price. And there's no bag limit and no closed season - meaning you can legally kill as many as the landowner will allow and you can legally hunt them day or night with any weapon you choose. Obviously Missouri or Kansas is a lot closer than O.K or Texas, but if we could find a good way to do it, we would make a marathon trip heck 1100 miles one way.... It has been done! That usually doesn't include any lodging, meat processing or guiding, other than perhaps a quick tour by the landowner and maybe a suggestion of a good location or two to try. He has some land over by Childress that has hogs. I don't think he is out of line on his prices but I don't know what he gets anymore. I also Know a guy on the Louisiana /Miss border that does hog for 75 a day, but they bay 'em with curr dogs. Killed one with a spear following his dogs last winter.
