huntn4bucks
Re: Want to Buy - PUSH/PULL Turkey calls I'll send you one like this one if you want it. Someone gave it to me years ago and I absolutely have no use for it. Let me know if you want it and I'll dig it out of my box of useless turkey calls. Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Want to Buy - PUSH/PULL Turkey calls Um, I'm going to ask the question that no one else has asked. Why? Why would you want to make a frog call? Can you actually call in frogs? Why not just sneek up to the edge of the pond and grab them like we did as kids. I can see it now, the Primos Frog Call. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Want to Buy - PUSH/PULL Turkey calls I have to admit, I caught frogs like Derek mentioned. You seen there little heads above the water at the edge of the water and the bank or maybe just sitting on the edge and you would sneek up and grab the little buggers. Then you'd stick them in your 5 gallon pail and move on to the next. We weren't eating them though, just catching and later releasing! Those were some good memories, thanks for bringing that up Derek!!

That had to have been back around 78 or 79 (man I feel old!). Those poor frogs on the bottom of that pail! I'd hate to think how many frogs we had in that pail. Those were the days. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Want to Buy - PUSH/PULL Turkey calls We did the same thing Derek with snakes, we would put pieces of wood or tin in the woods around 3 feet wide by 5 foot long. They were sort of like traps to get the snakes in the area. The snakes would go underneath the wood or tin and then you would flip it over and the snakes would be underneath it coiled up taking a nap or waiting for their dinner (the snakes were all non-poisonous), we'd catch them and put them in a 5 gallon pail. Catch and release there too, sometimes though we'd take a break and go inside for lunch and if mom ever seen the pail sitting outside you'd know it by the screams!!! LOL!! Those indeed were the days Derek!
