need2hunt
Started on our 4 deer tonight... Sue's oldest daughter Brenna came along to help... Brenna brought one of her friends to see if she'ld gross out LOL... after the innitial shock they hopped right in... they skinned 2 of the deer while we skinned the other 2... had to take a pic of them holding up the buck heads to show they were cool (espicially her friend who actually cut them off)... the first pic the heads are kinda hidden in the camo... the second pic is... well... priceless

HuntingInMaine
Re: Fun in Deer processing (pics) Glad everyone had so much fun! Maybe those young ladies will be heading out hunting next year! (and Brenna can see if her friend is grossed out by the field dressing! LOL) How long does it take to do a deer? We are looking to do our own next year, it's just getting too expensive to have it processed now ($75 for my deer this year!)
need2hunt
Re: Fun in Deer processing (pics) This is our 3rd year for doing our own and we are getting much better and faster at it... we are getting to were it only takes us 2-3 hours to do a deer... it's actually pretty easy to do, just make sure you have some sharp knives... when CWD hit Wisconsin our deer processor raised his price to around $100 and that was the base price, not including if you wanted jerky, sausage or whatever... with getting around 4 deer a year that's just way to expensive. Guest BeerSlayer1
Re: Fun in Deer processing (pics) I'm the only hunter on my block and whenever I bring home a deer I end up with a garage full of kids. Most like to try skinning and I can't remember the last one that thought it was "icky".
