HarvDog
Re: @#@&^$(*#)^!!!!!!! You poor thing! I know that really hurts. I slammed my thumb completely in my car door once when I was a teenager. But...I definitely deserved it! I had just returned from doing something I shouldn't have been involved in. That's as much as I will say.
spyderpancake
Re: @#@&^$(*#)^!!!!!!! Do you still have a pocket of blood under the nail? My buddy had one like that, and he took a tiny drill bit and just spun it with his fingers on his other hand, until it finally went thru and let off the pressure. He said it didn't hurt at all and it was immediate relief. Might be worth a try...

OJR
Re: @#@&^$(*#)^!!!!!!! Drill it or take a needle and heat the end of it and it will go right through the nail and you won't feel anything! I have done that a couple of times and it sure relieves the pressure!!
Jeramie
Re: @#@&^$(*#)^!!!!!!! I have done that with plates countless times (45lbs). You can always tell the seasoned gym members, they hold their fingers straight out when sliding plates together.... Seriously, ive put a hurt on myself several times that same way. RangerClay
Re: @#@&^$(*#)^!!!!!!! [ QUOTE ] There's NO WAY I could drill a hole in my fingernail. If I push down on it the slightest bit......it just about makes me cry. [/ QUOTE ] When I caught my thumb in a #3 coil spring the nail turned purple and the pressure was so intense I had to see the doctor. He used a different method that my be easier for you. He took an ordinary paperclip and straightened it out. He then grabbed it with some foreceps but you could use pliers. Take a lighter and heat the paperclip till it is red hot then set it on the nail. It will will melt through the nail gently without any pressure. It will sting a little when you pop through but it is much gentler than drilling a hole. Hope you feel better Ranger
