slughunter
now that I have my leaf river im done with both of my stealth cams, im trying not to brand bash but the quality of the stealth cams is lacking. I had it up for a week and the camera filled up, these are the only pics I got, the rest had nothing in them.

[/ QUOTE ] yea, I got what i wanted out of them and they were fun, but leaf river or any other digital cam just blows stealth cams away. toddyboman
Re: Im done with stealth cams! the trigger speed is to slow as I am sure you konw. Try and set them up so the der walks towards them. Or use something tomake them stay in front of the camera (corn, mineral). Im sure your leafriver is a much better camera, but maybe you can still get some use out of the others. i have never used a stealthcam so I really dont know to much about them. Squirrelhunter91
Re: Im done with stealth cams! I have a Wildview Xtreme II camera that is produced by Stealth Cam and have no complaints whatsoever! I would like a Leaf River though. 6sixpoint_nobrows
Re: Im done with stealth cams! dude...what model of stealth cam do you have? if you have the cheapest model of stealth cam you get what you pay for...but if you have the 90 dollar 35mm camera...then itsa a great camera...some tips though with it is face it down the trail not to the side of the trail...you will get the deer coming to the camera and it will activate a lot quicker that way and you will havea great mug shot of that bruiser...also i recently bought a Digital Stealth Cam and theres nothing wrong with it whatsoever...if even takes 20 second video clips and it does a great job of catch the animal quick and not before it gets to far past the camera...you may have seen a couple of my digital pics from that stealth cam recently and you can see the range on it...about 20 yards...thats impressive...if you have anymore questions or anything send me a pm dude..ill be more than happy to help you out! have a good one
TreeWalker
Re: Im done with stealth cams! Granted Stealth cams are not in the league of a Leaf River or Cuddeback......but they do serve their purpose........I had 5 of them before I went with the Leaf Rivers, and I got much use out of them......there is definitely a learning curve with them, but I don't regret "cutting my teeth" with them whatsoever.... Guest whitetailarcher
Re: Im done with stealth cams! I couldn't agree more, just like you I only got three pics of deer after many empty shots. I do set the cam up facing up and down a trail trying to help the sensor and trigger speed as much as possible.
wtnhunt
Re: Im done with stealth cams! My stealth cam served its purpose, but it finally died completely and I will never use or buy another 35mm or stealth cam. Last 20 or so rolls of film from it had to be manually rewound in a dark closet.
