Re: Bows

My nephew shoots the Mathews SwitchBack with 50 to 60 lb limbs. It is lightning fast and with proper shot placement will drop any animal.

Remember, Speed does not matter that much these days. Most bows, even the 50 to 60 lb bows are shooting plenty fast to get good pass throughs. There is a old saying " Speed Thrills, being accurate Kills".

I'm sure that any 50 to 60 lb bow will serve your buddy right. A good friend of mine got his wife a Hoyt that is a 40 to 50 lb bow and she hunts with it at 48 lbs and has taken plenty of deer with it.

Good luck

True but let's not go this way. LMBO JK.

If it's allowed and his shoulder is in bad shape I would possibly head this way as well. But if recovery is the key the bow could help strengthen the shoulder if set low enough.

Remember if it's cold it will be much harder for him to draw especially with his shoulder injury.
