IllinoisArcher
Would it be consider baiting if u hunted next to an apple tree that you planted in the woods
WIwhitetailhunter
Re: Apple Tree Not any more than hunting next to a corn field. It's not baiting if there is a tree there but if you dump the apples out where there isn't a tree it is baiting.
Tominator
Re: Apple Tree I'd check with a game warden to be sure, but I sure would be surprised if they said it was baiting.
GWSmith
Re: Apple Tree Check page 7, under Feeding Wildlife, of your states Hunting Regulations. http://dnr.state.il.us/admin/systems/Digest/index.htm I would call and make sure...but it does say: Standing crops planted and left standing as food plots for wildlife. WIwhitetailhunter
Re: Apple Tree I would think an apple tree would be the same as an oak tree. I can't believe it would be baiting hunting out of/by an oak tree that was dropping acorns. But to be safe, it wouldn't hurt to check the regs. Bownarow
Re: Apple Tree Apple trees are not illegal to hunt near. They are part of the natural terrain. It's similar to planting food plots which are also legal to hunt over or near.
