*urgent* Draw weight adjustment question *urgent*

I just got my Champion Dakota compound bow today and was wondering if anyone knows the specs for the draw weight? On the label it lists 30/70, but from what ive read, thats seems unrealistic. After reading the manual for Champion bows on the internet; this states to turn the limb bolts no more then 5 revolutions. Does this mean 5 revolutions in general? or 5 revolutions per side at one time?

I have enough sense to not turn the limb bolts to the point of taking them off, but im wondering if i will harm the bow if i give it more then 5 revolutions of each bolt.

can i only give 5 revolutions to each side... or can i only give a maximum 5 revolutions at a time per side but still possibly giving it more revolutions?

In my experience with bows....you can tighten the limbs down all the way to the point that they will no longer turn and still the limbs will not break. You simply won't get anymore poundage outta the limbs than what is shown. Regardless of how tight your limbs are....the max. poundage is hit once the limb meets the riser fully. Does that make since? However, I don't recommend tightening your limbs 100%....it's hard on the limbs.

As for your revolutions on each limb.....Tighten the bows limbs the exact same on both ends. If you got 2 turns, then go exactly 2 on the other end. Otherwise you can screw up your timing on your cams and axle wheel and your arrow will flip or fly awkward.

As far as the poundage specs on your bow....I have no idea, but I recommend you call their technical support and ask them. I am sure they'll be glad to assist you in anyway they can.

Hope I helped.

30/70 means 30" draw, 70lb limbs. you can adjust the draw weight to a max of 70lbs, and min AROUND 60lbs. You need to see what the poundage is BEFORE you start turning the limb bolts. It may in fact already be maxed out, and you won't be able to get those 5 turns in.
