Guest Andrea
I watched a segment on Good Morning America this morning regarding a team of archeologists that claim to have found the remnants of Noah's ark. They showed them digging up huge pieces of what looked like rock. But when they started picking at it and dusting it off....it was wood. And it is in Northern Iran.....in the mountains. ( Mt. Arrarat) (sp?) The exact place where the Bible says the ark came to rest. There have been people that have claimed to have found the ark before, but none have provided physical proof. They have yet to do any type of carbon dating or what have you....but I thought this was VERY interesting. Wouldn't that be wonderful if it turns out to really be the ark? This is just the initial discovery.....they haven't even begun to excavate the entire site. No telling what else they will dig up under all that wood. I will try to find a link to this story but so far they don't have it on their website.
wtnhunt
Re: Noah\'s Ark Would be interesting to say the least. Have seen programs before where claims were made that remnants had been found, but have never heard any definitive proof.

buckee
Re: Noah\'s Ark That's pretty cool alright. I've always believed in the stories of the bible as being true, not fables or examples, like some say. This new discovery is awesome for those who don't believe and also for those who believe, but doubt.
wtnhunt
Re: Noah\'s Ark Interesting story. From what I gather from that story though, they will still be unable to prove or disprove that what they found is actually the ark.
Guest silvestris
Re: Noah\'s Ark I humbly submit that it does not matter how much proof you find of God’s existence people will still turn away. Remember the Hebrews in Genesis who where being delivered from Egypt? They actually saw the red sea part, they ate the manna from heaven, they saw water spring from a rock, yet in the end they where not permitted to enter the Promised Land. They to turned away from God. This is God’s gift to us, a choice. He did not have to put the forbidden tree in the garden with Adam, but He did. God does not want to extort us into loving him. He wants us to choose Him.
Bowhntr
Re: Noah\'s Ark I saw that segment on Good Morning America. It would certainly be a great find if it was the ark. If I remember right they even said that the measurements are consistent with what God's instructions to Noah were. I certainly don't need proof that the Bible is true but would this not be just awesome.
Dakota
Re: Noah\'s Ark It could very well be the ark. Think about how awesome it would be if it was for sure. I don't get it. His Word is preached to them and there are so many things that witness and "testify" if you will, God's Glory, but they are too dull-witted to realize (or acknowledge) it. Like it says in the Bible. He has set aside some as chaff in the fire and the rest to be stored in His barn. Dakota

wtnhunt
Re: Noah\'s Ark While they have supposedly found what they thought was the ark before, I strongly feel that this would be awesome if they could use technology to prove that this find is in fact the ark. This is a very intersting topic and to be able to prove once and for all just how high the waters rose would be great. I may catch some flack from some members in here for stating my opinion, I do feel as though the great flood did take place and that there was an ark, I do not however believe that every existing form of life not on that ark perished in those floods, as some take out of their translations from the Bible. slughunter
Re: Noah\'s Ark That just made me laugh, I just dont beleive that there would be much to find, it was made if wood, it must of rotted out and disinegrated (sp) by this point. just my opinion. -shane

I dont really care, nothing to get to heated up about.
unioncountyslayer
Re: Noah\'s Ark One of the men on the team that found these pieces of the Ark just spoke at my church a few months ago and actually lives about 15 minutes from me. His name is Frank Turek, he is an author and speaker that wrote the book, "I don't have enough faith to be an aetheist". Pretty amazing find!
