Slugger
Re: reloading personally i clean my ML after every shot. If you want the most accuracy out of your gun you will do the same.
johnf
Re: reloading I clean mine every shot too. It seems like last year the sabots were tighter than years passed. Several times I used a little bore butter on the sabots. I know your not supposed to need to, but when you can't get them down you have to do something. VTbowman
Re: reloading Spit patch/dry patch between every shot for me. I do that since I can repeat the same cleaning regiment while hunting since spit is a readily available "cleaner". LOL It does work well. AJ
Re: reloading Yep, I always run a spit patch followed by a dry patch between shots. That nasty crud ring is a pain. You should have the same level of fouling between shots for the best accuracy. Bulet suppliers swap to different sabots regularly. Probably a contract thing. So there is no guarantee that the bullet/sabot combo that shot well for you this year will shoot well if you buy a new batch in a year or so. You never know. When I find a sabot that works I try to stockpile at least 500 of them. They aren't that expensive and it's nice to know they're there when you need them. hangunnr
too_pointer
Re: reloading It could just be me, but with my Encore I can use 2--50 grn. 777 pellets with 295 grn powerbelts, and just use a windex every 3 rd patch followed by a dry one, and they clean up great. ( it must be my good looks ) LOL. too_
Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: reloading I spit patch and flip the patch to run it down the barrel. I can shoot all day and not have to clean and that is shooting BP, FFG with any bullet combination. Running a patch down the barrel is not considered cleaning nor is using a patch soaked in solvent. You may have a tight barrel and what will help that is to shoot 100 or so all lead bullets down that barrel, conicals that is. Shooting a Sabot will not "polish/lap" that barrel. Go buy yourself some lead and shoot a can of powder. Your loading will become easier and your accuracy will improve.

too_pointer
Re: reloading I lapped my barrel before I even shot it, and I think that has alot to do with how mine loads. Lapping is under Bluelks chapters. It take awhile, but I think it helps. too_
