christsavedme Posted July 6, 2006 Report Share Posted July 6, 2006 Most of you know me, but I am sure there are members here that don't. The prayer is not for me, but for my grandmother. Last Friday she went in to the hospital to have some fluid taken off of her lungs. On Monday the fluid was back so her doctor ordered a ct scan. The results were a large tumor located in her Left upper posterior lung. Yesterday the Dr. put her to sleep and did a biopsy of the tumor and drained more fluid off. The biopsy came back negative today, but the Dr. (which is a close family friend) told them that he still had a bad feeling. The Dr. was already planning on putting a chest tube in today to drain fluids so he wanted to scope her chest while he was putting the tube in. The results are several malignant tumors located on her chest wall. These tumors are not the original cancer and are METS from an unknown location at this time. He also advised our family that surgery wasn't an option that she would not live through it. So now it is just a sit and wait kindof thing to see what type cancer it is and where it is coming from. He advised the family that it is treatable with chemo as all cancer is. I just ask you all to please pray for her as well as my grandfather, the Dr.s and staff, and my family!
