Then, after realizing how big of a panzie he is and how big of a fool he looked like since he ran his mouth so much and then couldn't back it up.... Shamrock went "bezerk" and they had to call in security and cops to "calm him down". Oh man, I absolutely HATE Ken Shamrock and this my friend made my night. The Sylvia/Arlovski fight wasn't as great as I thought it would be.It looked like they were both real cautious. Lidell vs. Bobaloo sounds like a dandy fight in August. I mean the 1st fight of the night the guy was bleeding like craxy and he took about 15 shots to the head in about 5 seconds and they didnt call it! I'm a little dissapointed, Ken in all honesty does not have the speed or accuracy he once had, he has taken too many to the head. However they DID stop it too early. Let the poeple get their money worth. take a look back 5 years ago, before UFC sold out to spike.... the only way to lose was either go unconscious,tap out, or throw in the towel, that what makes the ufc great, now it is getting soft..... [/ QUOTE ] In his hay day Shamrock was definitely an animal to say the least, but as you said, his skills have pretty much faded away. Granted he'd probably take it to you or I lol, but he doesn't have a chance against these young studs of today. As for being "soft" I understand what you are saying, heck, when this all first started 150 lb. guys were fighting 300 lb. guys and the only rules were no eye gouging or fish hooking. That being said, how many brain damaged fighters and near deaths did you think were going to happen before changes were made? If that fight would have continued any longer Shamrock would have been in one of those statistics, plain & simple. A mans skull can only take so many fists and elbows and seeing as how it was only 40 seconds in to the match and he had already eaten 20, what do you think would have came from the other 4 minutes and 20 seconds??? Yeah i understand that, and its true, However when i got into MMA the big appeal was that.you could get really hurt unless you could protect yourself....look at shamrocks last fight from Ortiz...........
