With bow seasons getting closer and closer I thought I would start a post seeing who was bowhunting this fall. If you are what king of bow are you using?, where are you hunting?, when is your season?, what animals are you hunting for?

Re: Who\'s bowhunting this fall

Better question is who is NOT bowhunting this year. LOL

I will be hunting my property again.

NW Vermont; about 100 acres.

Got 2 new food plots I hope draw some deer off other properties near by.

Oct7 to 29th I believe

ChekMate Hunter II recurve 56@25 with be my weapon of choice.

Only whitetails in our neck of the woods during Oct.

I am hoping they open fall turkey up here one year soon...

Re: Who\'s bowhunting this fall

I just got word as I sit here but I may be moving out of state but still somewhere in the NE.

The guy I work for may have a large job for me to lead a crew of 3 guys on that will take a few years and is hoping to open into a new geographic area.

The entire family will have to uproot. $$ will be better though.

Anyway, I will be hunting Connecticut as well as NY (I hope) I hope I don't have to change my new post in the bowhunting room.

Yes, Lord willing, I will be hunting with the king of bows, Mathews Legacy. grin.gif

Our season was extended this year. Starts September 30 goes to sometime in Feb. I think.

I hunt a few counties in central Ohio--Union, Delaware, Licking, Franklin, and I'm lucky enough to be able to tag along with Ohiobucks in Knox and Coshocton.

Pretty much just Whitetails, unless a squirrel bugs me, or another varmint like coyote happens by.
