BowJoe
Re: Who\'s bowhunting this fall I'll be hunting Franklin County in Southern Illinois. Me and my Mathew's Outback along with a few Gold Tip arrows tipped with Wasp Jak-Hammer's. I will mostly be hunting a buddy's property and since he will be out of the country for the first 2 weeks of October, I have it all to myself. Last year I saw the biggest buck of my life while hunting. Had to go at least 200 or more non-typical. Looked like a mule deer.

Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: Who\'s bowhunting this fall I just got word that I will be moving somewhere in Central NY. Where?, I have no clue. I heard the economy is terrible for most folk. I'm sure I'll be fine seeing that the avg wage is just above poverty level. The wife and I need to discuss it. Her finding a job will dictate where exactly. Teachers are needed everywhere, so she tells me. What a change it will be for me. Winter will come earlier, season dates will change and I will probably not be able to hunt my dad's farm near Scranton. My high school buddy might have to visit me instead of me visiting him. So, I'm bowhunting NY for sure, just where I can't tell as of yet. I'll keep you posted, I guess. GWSmith, you may have a PM coming depending on where we move to. I hope the test to hunt with you and your friend is not too difficult. Safety is paramount , I understand that.
GWSmith
Re: Who\'s bowhunting this fall Syracuse(Onondaga county) is just over 30 minutes to my West. Nice if you like large city areas but just too busy for my tastes. I'm not exactly sure...but you may want to call the Region 6 DEC office here in NY...if you plan on moving to Region 6(Oneida county area). I believe that unless you can prove residency for the prior 6 months you may still have to purchase an out-of-state license to hunt here this year. Keep me posted...I talked to my friend Dave today and he did'nt have any problem with adding another to our camping schedule this year. We'll be camping somewhere north of Little Falls, NY. in the Adirondack Park. PM me your Phone number if your interested in contacting us...our camping trips last anywhere from 3-7days. If we go the same place as last year...Everything is packed into camp, about a 2 hour trip, after a canoe ride with 2 portages. (quality survival gear is an absolute must)
